Seasonal Employment

Applications for seasonal employment are accepted all year long. The application can be found below. Examples of seasonal employment include all positions at the City swimming pool and laborer positions in various departments during the summer months.

With the exception of seasonal applications, the City of St. Marys only accepts applications for employment when there is a vacancy posted. At such time, employment applications may be downloaded below or can be obtained at the Municipal Building.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Civil Service Commission of the City of St. Marys, Ohio, will be conducting an examination for original appointment for Police Officer for the City of St. Marys on December 18, 2021.

POLICE OFFICER ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT EXAM 1:00 p.m.

Applications and details of testing may be obtained online at www.cityofstmarys.net or at the Personnel Office, 101 East Spring Street, St. Marys, beginning November 29th.  Completed applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. December 10, 2021.

REFUSE WORKERS

Applications are being accepted for full-time Refuse Workers in our Solid Waste Department.  Must have or acquire a CDL and remain insurable under the City's vehicle insurance policy.  Refuse workers perform general unskilled manual labor in the collection of refuse and recycling and other City duties as required.  For additional information, see position description below.  Normal hours Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with minimal overtime.  Starting wage is $17.69 per hour.  Excellent fringe benefits and OPERS retirement.  Application available below or at the Municipal Building at 101 E. Spring Street, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., M-F.  Applications accepted until positions filled.  EOE
