A two hour parking limit is enforced in the Central Business District of St. Marys as defined below. This limitation is in effect Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. Violators of parking regulations shall pay a fee in accordance with the following schedule:
- $5.00 on the first and second offense committed within a calendar year;
- $10.00 for the third offense committed within a calendar year; and
- $20.00 for the fourth and any subsequent offense committed within a calendar year.
Payment of fees can be made at the Police Department or at the Municipal Building at the Municipal Building on Spring Street. If payment is not made within 5 calendar days from the date of the issuance of the violation notice, an additional fee of $10.00 shall be imposed. If payment is not made within 10 days, the owner or operator may be issued a citation to appear in court.
The Central Business District parking area is as follows:
- Spring Street from its intersection with Wayne Street to its intersection with Pine Street;
- Main Street from its intersection with South Street to a point 200 feet north of the centerline of Spring Street;
- Front Street from its intersection with High Street to its intersection with South Street;
- Chestnut Street from its intersection with High Street to a point 235 feet south of the centerline of Spring Street.
